Q2 2024 Personal Finance Apps Performance on iOS in the US

In the second quarter of 2024, the US iOS platform saw varying performances among the top five personal finance applications. Sensor Tower's data offers a glimpse into the trends of these popular budgeting and planning tools.

Splitwise showed a fluctuating revenue trend, peaking at $42K in late April and again in mid-June. Downloads for the app peaked at 275K in the week of June 17, while weekly active users saw a high of 384K in early April, dipping slightly and then stabilizing around 376K by the end of June.

For Spendee Money & Budget Planner, revenue reached a high of $54K in late April, with other weeks showing more modest earnings. Downloads were highest at the start of April with 34K, but generally remained below 20K per week. Weekly active users began at 126K but saw a gradual decline to 97K by the end of June.

Reflectly ApS's Monefy: Money Tracker had a notable spike in revenue, jumping to $65K in the week of June 10. Downloads for Monefy were modest, with the highest at 62K in early April. The app's active users showed a downward trend, starting at 355K and decreasing to 273K.

The YNAB app had a steady revenue stream, with a peak of $22K in late May. However, the app had very few downloads throughout the quarter, with the highest being 8K in early June. Weekly active users for YNAB hovered around 19K, with a slight dip to 10K in late May.

1Money: Expense Tracker, despite having no revenue for the first week of April, saw an impressive jump to $61K in early June. The app's download numbers were low, with a spike to 54K in late May. Unfortunately, the active user data for 1Money was not available.
